The residents of both Oakdown House and Carricks Brook have been enjoying a little more freedom with the easing of the COVID-19 restrictions. Residents have enjoyed trips to the beach and walks in parks, always mindful of keeping their distance from others. On wetter days residents have enjoyed many activities within the homes but there seems to have been a particular interest in baking and cooking this month!
Every year our residents look forward to going on holiday but of course this year these have had to be cancelled or postponed. On one of the warmest days in June, Carricks Brook enjoyed a ‘Holiday Day’! Everyone took a trip to the park for a picnic then came back to the garden at Carricks for a swim and water games, lots of fun was had by all.
Both homes regularly recruit new staff, vacancies can range from support staff and night staff through to team leaders and care co-ordinators. If you would like more of an in-sight into some of these roles or if you already have an interest please get in touch. Working in the care industry is much more than just a job; it is a very fulfilling and rewarding career.
