A residential care home set in rural East Sussex
Carricks Brook provides specialist support for adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and challenging needs.
Set in a peaceful rural location on the edge of the village of Dallington, Carricks Brook is home to 12 residents with Autism and challenging behaviour, supported by a high ratio of specialist trained support staff.
Opened in August 2009 Carricks Brook has 12 en-suite bedrooms, with bright, open communal areas that allow staff to balance our residents changing needs. The rural setting of the home offers a retreat for those who benefit from a private & peaceful environment.
The service is staffed by a high ratio of support staff specifically trained to enable residents who present with challenging behaviour to reach their full potential using varied techniques. Tailored to the individual, these may include: Positive Behaviour Analysis, TEACCH, Picture Exchange Communication System, Social Stories & S.T.O.P & Relax techniques.
We employ our own in-house trainer in N.A.P.P.I. techniques (Non-Abusive, Psychological and Physical Intervention), which enables us to create & implement highly individual & effective Positive Behaviour Support plans.
