Sports Day Races!

Back in July, Carricks and Oakdown teamed up to hold a sports day for residents and staff. The weather was great and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day! There were egg and spoon races, games of football, running races as well as wheelchair races. The residents enjoyed watching the Managing Director and the Home Manager team up for the 3-legged race!

Throughout the summer and into autumn, residents and staff have enjoyed lots of trips out including going to Thorpe Park, boat rides on the river in Bodiam, visits to Drusillas Park, sailing at Piddinghoe, trips to cafés, walks at the seaside and many more exciting adventures.

We had great fun at our first ever ‘Oakdown’s Got Talent’ contest, with fantastic dancing acts, singers and there was even a fashion walk! We were impressed to see the talent of our staff which included them playing the violin, guitar, dancing and singing. Congratulations to Megan for winning the ‘Oakdown’s Got Talent’ trophy with her amazing dance routine!
