Staff at both of our homes are great at seeking out interesting trips out for our residents! This winter they have had so much fun in Sussex and beyond. One of the highlights for both homes was visiting and picking pumpkins at Tulleys Farm. The month of December was full of festive spirit with many residents visiting a variety of venues for some spectacular festive lights and giant Christmas trees. Of course, having some snow in December also made a lot of the residents happy!

As well as getting out and about the homes have enjoyed visits from singers, pantomimes, an interesting array of animals and have even been instructed in how to do exercises in their armchairs! With spring not far away everyone is looking forward to Easter celebrations and more trips out in the sunny weather.
Career Opportunities
Staffing is particular tricky in the care industry at present. Both homes are working hard at recruiting to enable our residents to lead full and happy lives. There are always opportunities for staff within our organisation to develop new skills and progress their careers, we have in house trainers to support our staff to achieve whatever they desire. We recently have had support workers move up to Team Leader levels and then Team Leaders progressing to becoming Care Coordinators. Working in social care can be very flexible too especially if you have a family to work around.
